Baterias ETNA, a leading battery manufacturer established in 1933, produces a wide range of low and free maintenance batteries for vehicles including cars, light and heavy trucks, recreational and fishing boats, agricultural and mining machinery, as well as solar panels,power stations,etc.

For more than 75 years, ETNA has been the main battery factory in Peru and in the last five years their products are present in other countries of the region such as Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Chile where they opened a commercial office responsible for their operations in that country.

The headquarters are based in Lima, Where it has an assembly plant with a 100,000 batteries/month capacity. In the near future will be operating an state of-the-art-melting and refining lead factory in Ventanilla, Callao.

In January 2008 ETNA received the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by the firm Bureau Veritas confirming their commitment in providing customers excellent quality products and service.

ETNA RECEIVES ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION

Fabrica Nacional de Acumuladores ETNA S.A. received the ISO 9001:2000 Cert. by the Bureau Veritas Certification Firm in Production, Distribution and Sales Processes for Storage Batteries confirming the high standards that Etna has been achieving.

The certification will contribute to the plans of the company in reaching new markets, apart from Ecuador , Chile , Bolivia and Central America where it already operates.

This year Etna celebrates its 75 anniversary, leading the Peruvian market with 55% share and is in track to become one of the most important players in the region.

 

ETNA IN CHILE

Since Etna opened a commercial office in Santiago last year, results have been impressive. In 2007 it placed 800% more batteries than the previous year and is expecting to obtain 20% market share by July this year.
